Mechanical Destemming
Development of a mechanical destemmer is also a part of the mechanization that is key to the survival of the chile industry in the state. The Manufacturing Technology and Engineering Center (M-TEC) at New Mexico State University is working with the New Mexico Chile Task force in designing and building a mechanical prototype destemming device. We will add additional information as it become available.
